Keeping up with shops ONLINE... The stats!

I commonly watch the business session at 6am on TV.
Recently a business spoke on stats of how people use the Internet for shopping.
I wrote down the stats for you...

I have to say doing so much online work at Mega Advertising we are constantly interested in these facts, to improve our clients businesses!

HERE ARE THE STATS!

8% growth of people are shopping more online in 2011 than 2010 in New Zealand.
However we probably guessed that... what was more surprising to me was that those who do shop online are spending 25% more than they did in 2010...

Mind you once I analyse this with my own shopping habits I know I am shopping way more online, it is convenient and easy!
Sadly though the stats say the on average 5% drop in traditional bricks and mortar places, like your physical shops aren't doing the growth, amd they need to lift their game and not get left behind from the online world.

It doesn't have to be hard, we do excellent online shopping carts at Mega for as little as $1500... Which is not even a smidgen on what someone would pay for rent for their shop. Yet for some reason the investment to online isn't justified.
I challenge business owners to re think their online space... Let's face it, it is easy, the stats Re there. So isn't it logical to get on with it!
