EQ - attitudes - don't feel guilty to be alive!

I thought I would join the bloggers on this amazing yoyo emotional time.

My thoughts go out to everyone effected by Feb 22nd EQ, it is so sad what has happened to our people, our city, our home and our hearts!

So many of us are still building up from the last EQ. As a business owner, I have laughed (cause that is all you can do at times) with business coaches and mentor's on "how we should be growing our businesses, not rebuilding them every 6 months! It is incrediable how we have learnt to pick up and keep going over and over". BUT we just need to, we need to for ourselves, for our staff, for our clients and for what has now become a hugely patriotic country!

I have been hugely impressed with the ATTITUDES of business owners, and how very little that just can't cope. Perhaps it is because we are such a supportive business community anyway? So many of us have picked up and got on and searched for new offices, kept work coming in, without evening chasing the bad debt, or doing normal business things. I feel the wonderful positiveness from friends and Mega fans whom have been so supportive on Facebook to keep the momentum going!

It is sad we feel so "Guilty to be alive"... that is the feedback I hear. How we should be thankful we are alive. And don't get me wrong, we all are. it is just that we all have our own nightmares at the moment, of whether so small, as not having water or power yet, this is still huge for some, and how we wonder where the next dollar is coming from and so on. It is ok - to get back to your dream. Christchurch needs us business owners to rebuild this city!

Keep living your dreams! Keep focussed, and keep planning. We will rebuild our lives!

Cheers Phillippa :)
